Acting Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz has said that the women have played important role in the construction of society and building up of nations. No sane person can deny the role women have played in the progress and prosperity of a society. He said that women have enjoyed unique and privileged position in a role of mother, daughter, wife and sister. They are a gift to humanity and the societies which failed to acknowledge this gift always fell victim to moral decay and anarchy and rat race. Sheikh Zahaid Fayyaz said that Islam gave excellent conditions for the training of women. He expressed these views while addressing a training session held at the central secretariat of MQI.

Ms Sumaira Rafaqat, central Secretary General of MWL, said on the occasion that the nations who confined women to advertisements faced moral and social decline. She warned against borrowing culture from alien peoples, saying that it is our collective responsibility to highlight and promote our indigenous culture and civilization. She said that women always played significant role in the development of the society. She said that the present-day women need to find a leaf from the book of great women of Islam instead of getting impressed by West.
