UK: Performance of MWL (North Zone) reviewed

President Minhaj-ul-Quran International Women League (UK) Mrs. Fatima Mash'hadi held a regional organizational meeting with MWL North Zone. This meeting was held on 9th of March 2014 in Bradford. The meeting was attended by Sister Mussarat Hussain General Secretary MWL UK, Sister Nasreen Akhtar President North Zone MWL UK, Sister Jannat Elahi Membership Coordinator MWL UK and Sister Rubina Raja Head of Senior Advisory Council MWL UK.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the achievements and challenges of the North Zone. It was quite clear that the North Zone has been very active and productive region for the MWL activities in the UK. The working structure of ‘Halaqat Durood’ Sharif and ‘Halaqat Imaan’ have been set up and supported with ongoing assistance by Sister Nasreen Akhtar and Sister Rubina Raja to the point of most of the Halaqat achieving all of the set targets. The discussion also went into how the MWL in the North Zone is playing a very important role in the community to reach out to women, also as to how the North Zone could in future support the Midlands and South Zones with their experience.

Sister Fatima Mash'hadi conveyed her congratulations and appreciation to the sisters for their consistent efforts and for being great supporting team for the North Zone. She also concluded that their achievements were in line with the aims and objectives set out by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri when he established Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League 26 years ago, to empower women with an independent platform to work for the promotion of women's rights in Islam. May Allah Subhana wa Tala by the Waseela of His beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallalaho Alihi Wa alaihi Wassalim) accept humble efforts of all working for the promotion of peace love and harmony.
