Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi has criticized the governmental action of taking Aaj TV off air in certain parts of the country. He has called it a brazen attack on the independence of media and urged the Pemra authorities not to exceed their powers. He said it is right of people to be informed of what is happening inside and outside the country. He said Media has played very important and constructive role in creating public awareness about multiple issues. The government should enhance its endurance level. He demanded of the Pemra to immediately bring Aaj TV back on air so that people should continue to be kept updated.
