‘Sayyida Kainat (RA)' Conference urges women to study life of Hazrat Fatima (RA)

By the grace of Allah Almighty a Sayyida Kainat (RA) Conference for women was organised by Minhaj -ul-Quran Women League Nelson on the 16th August 2015 at Minhaj-ul-Quran centre, Carr Road, Nelson. Women and children were present from all parts of the community including Nelson, surrounding towns of Brier field and Burnley. Amongst those who attended were distinguished guests such as Sister Nasreen Akhtar (MWL President North Zone), Sister Naila and local Naat Khwaans.

Sister Ghulam Fatimah (MWL President Nelson) hosted the Syeda Kainat Conference by welcoming the audience to the auspicious Mehfil. She stated how fortunate we were to be presented with a platform by the guidance of Shaykh -ul- Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri to host such blessed gatherings. She then welcomed Sister Nasreen on stage to do a beautiful recitation from the Holy Quran.

Following the Quranic recitation, praises were bestowed upon the Holy Prophet (SAW). Naat Khwaans were then called upon the stage one by one to recite their Naats. Firstly Sisters Humaira and Zahida (MWL Burnley) recited 'Shere Taiba' followed by Sister Shakeela who recited 'Mehboob Da Mela', Sister Nida, Sister Rizwana, Sister Anam and Sister Aizah bought the programme to life with their Naats.

The guest speaker was Sister Naila who gave a speech about the character and life of Hazrat Fatima-tul-Zahra (RA) and the importance of the rights and roles of Muslim women in society. She informed listeners as to how she led her life conveying the teachings of Islam and of her blessed father. She expressed how we should also guide our children to follow these teachings and direct our children away from the vulgarity of today's modern lifestyle.

Sister Nasreen was invited on stage to share her thoughts. She congratulated the MWL Nelson on the continuous commitment and dedication to organising such events for the local female community. She followed this by providing an update to the audience about previous Minhaj ul Quran welfare project event for which numerous orphaned children were sponsored at Agosh in Lahore and funds were also donated by local residents for the 'Water For All' project to provide hand pumps in drought stricken areas.

The audience was also informed about the prices for the Qurbani Project 2015. The participants were encouraged to attend the Halqa Darood Mehfil held every Monday at 11am-12.30 pm, Tajweed Quran class on Tuesday's and Wednesday's at 1 pm - 2.30 pm and also Tasbeeh Namaz on Friday mornings at 11 am all at the Carr Road Idara in Nelson.

The programme concluded with Salaat u Salaam which was melodiously recited by Sisters Aizah and Nidah and with the Dua made by guest speaker Sister Naila. All guests were provided with packed food to take home.
