Opposition united on accountability of PM: Khurram Nawaz Gandapur

After attending the joint meeting of the opposition parties and while addressing the meeting of Minhaj Women League, PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that the Nawaz government will not be accepted without accountability on the Panama leaks and the Model Town massacre. He said that we would go to any extent for accountability and Qisas and answerability. He warned that any party, which will dilly-dally on the demand for accountability of the government or go soft, will find itself on the wrong side of the people. He said that the PAT submitted two proposals in the meeting of the joint opposition namely establishment of a joint action committee consisting representatives of all political parties and inclusion of justice for Model Town tragedy in the agenda and all parties agreed to these suggestions.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the PAT stands by every party and individual that is facing the government’s high handedness. He said that our struggle is for elimination of exploitation of every kind and we strongly condemn extra judicial killings. The PAT delegation consisted of Khawaja Amir Fareed Koreja, Sajid Bhatti, Noorullah Siddiqui, and Basharat Jaspal.

The PAT Secretary General said that we are pleased that all opposition parties have a consensus regarding formulation of ToRs, conduct of accountability, justice for Model Town tragedy, and the government’s high handedness. He said that the PM has miserably failed to discharge his constitutional responsibilities with the result that the country has fallen victim to political instability. He said that the government does not have any interest in any local or international issue. He said that the Nawaz government has been founding wanting on the issue of Kashmir.

The PAT Secretary reiterated his party’s strong support for the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination. He said that the road to durable peace and stability in South Asia passes through Kashmir. He said that the conduct of the PM is like a student who is hesitant to go to school due to incomplete homework and cooks up excuses every new day to avoid school. He said that all opposition parties have been invited to attend the national moot to be held on July 31 on the invitation of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, which all leaders of the parties have accepted. He said that important meeting of the Opposition parties will be held on July 31, which will be watershed for promising future of the country.
