Dr. Hussain Qadri Meeting with Pakistan Cricket Team

Former Pakistan cricket team captain Azhar Ali, opening batsman Abid Ali and bowler Muhammad Abbas called on Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, deputy chairman, Board of Governors of Minhaj University Lahore.

Speaking on the occasion, former captain Azhar Ali said that Pakistan can regain its lost cultural reputation and economic status through the revival of sports. He said that sports and cultural activities have a bearing on the economy of the country. He asked the public and private sector universities to patronize cricket in their campuses, adding that peace and prosperity are dependent on the promotion of sports in the playgrounds.

Azhar Ali said that he was extremely pleased to learn that the management of Minhaj University Lahore takes a lot of interest in sports and holds the annual sporting events at the campus.

Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri welcomed the cricketing heroes on their arrival at the university and briefed them about the educational and sports activities. He asked them to provide their guidance and supervision to the young students so that the latter can develop themselves into solid sports persons capable of earning laurels for the country.

Miss Raheela and Miss Ammara, international kabaddi players and Olympians, were also present on the occasion.
