Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri stresses women’s role in movement for change

Chairman of the Supreme Council, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has said that women have a significant role to play in making public awareness campaign of PAT a resounding success. He said that if they continued to work hard with steadfastness and devotion, the day was not far when sun of revolution would dawn in the country. He said that PAT has been waging a struggle to rid the nation of corruption and exploitative and oppressive system that had been sucking the people’s blood for last 66 years. He said that Dr Qadri wanted to enforce the system of Madina in which the rights of the people were guaranteed and their life and honour was kept intact.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri expressed these views while addressing a meeting of Working Council of PAT and MQI (women wings) in the central secretariat yesterday. Razia Naveed, Shazia Mazhar, Sayyida Nazia Mazhar, Hina Amin and Ayesha Shabbir were also present on the occasion.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the movement to enlist support of 20 million Namazis was underway, adding that Namazis were steadfast in submission of their will before the Lord while voters could shift their loyalty. Referring to Sayyida Fatima-tuz-Zahra (RA), he said that the Sayyida-e-Kainat said that when one saw a hungry person, one should not assume that there was inadequacy in God’s sustenance. Rather one should assume that some cruel fellow has snatched his sustenance.

Dr Hassan said that select families had their monopolies in their respective constituencies. He said that getting elected to the assemblies through fraud and rigging was called democracy. He said that the voter’s opinion did not carry any weight in the present electoral system. He said that the ruling class used electorate’s vote as a weapon. He asked the women of PAT and MQI (women wings) to remain steadfast and keep working hard for the accomplishment of objective of change, adding that the day was not far when the people’s rights would be restored.

Addressing the meeting, Ms. Razia Naveed, the leader of PAT women wing, said that we, the women, had strong determination and will to make a difference. She said that the women were ready to play their role to change the corrupt electoral system on the call of their leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. She said that more than 2.5 million women would be in the forefront of ranks of 20 million Namazis.

Ms. Ayesha Shabbir said in her remarks that the conditions were worsening in the country. Economy was on the decline. Terrorism held sway and women’s honour was being violated. She said that the entire nation was protesting against the prevailing state of affairs but there was no one to listen to their hue and cry. She said that the way things were adrift, it appeared there was no government in the country. She said that women were ready to join the ranks of 20 million patriotic people to change the corrupt system. She said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri would not rest unless he sent the cruel system packing through peaceful and democratic struggle. She said that the exemplary discipline the women displayed during the Long March was the result of training and leadership of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

Ms. Hina Amin said that the way female students and girls played their role during the freedom struggle, they were ready to repeat history to save the country under the leadership of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. She said that the girls and women would be in the forefront of movement for change. Ms Nazia Mazhar and Ms Shazia Mazhar also spoke on the occasion.
