Oslo Minhaj Women League Milad un Nabi 2026

In the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awal, Minhaj Women League Norway organized a Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ gathering at Minhaj-ul-Quran Oslo, bringing together more than 300 women, youth, seniors, and children to celebrate the birth of the beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The theme of the gathering was “A Home Following the Way of the Prophet ﷺ.” Sisters from Minhaj Halaqa-i-Durood Norway, Minhaj Sisters League Norway, and Minhaj Women League Norway participated enthusiastically through Quran recitation, nasheeds, Naat, and inspiring presentations. The gathering was also attended by Dr. Nazia Batool, President of MEC MWL; Sister Sadia Munir, President of Minhaj Halaqa-i-Durood (NEC); Sister Samina Bhatti, Head of Education (NEC); and Sister Ayesha Khan, President of Minhaj Dialogue Forum (NEC). Their presence added encouragement and value to the gathering.

The program began with a warm welcome from Sisters Samrah Ehsan and Nazia Liaqat. Sister Farah Batool recited verses from the Holy Quran, followed by an Urdu translation by Sister Sadia Sadaqat. Young sisters Adan, Adeena, and Umaimah presented a beautiful Hamd. A heartfelt Mehfil-e-Naat followed, featuring recitations by Sisters Javeria Yousaf, Malaika Arfat, Hira Khan, Farah Naz, and Shaista Kanwal, creating an atmosphere of love and devotion for the Prophet ﷺ. A motivational video highlighting women’s activities across different forums was presented, followed by an inspiring speech by Sister Saira Arshad Nisar, leader of MWL, who encouraged women to actively participate and take initiative. Sister Farah also presented a beautiful nasheed.

The keynote address was delivered by respected Basima Hassan Qadri on the theme “A Home Following the Way of the Prophet ﷺ.” She emphasized that love for the Prophet ﷺ should begin within our homes and be reflected in parents’ behavior and the way children are raised. She explained that children learn not only from what they are taught but also from what they observe in their parents’ conduct. She stressed the importance of providing children with a safe and nurturing environment where they are listened to, respected, encouraged to ask questions, and supported in developing confidence and independence. Parents, she said, should guide their children through love and positive example rather than fear or excessive control. She also highlighted the importance of providing both boys and girls with equal respect, care, and opportunities to grow while remaining connected to their faith and identity.

Sister Radiyah Mustafa Mahmood summarized the key message of the speech in Norwegian, enabling participants to fully understand and reflect upon its message. Another joyful moment of the gathering was the drawing of an Umrah ticket. The announcement, accompanied by a nasheed by Sister Mehvish Manan, generated excitement among the participants, with the fortunate winner receiving the opportunity to visit Makkah and Madinah. The program continued with a touching Salaam led by Sisters Javeria Yousaf, Malaika Arfat, and Hira Khan. It concluded with a heartfelt Dua by Sister Tayyeba Tauseef Din from Minhaj Halaqa-i-Durood, followed by Salat al-Asr.

The gathering concluded with food and fellowship, as the sisters shared reflections and expressed gratitude for the blessed occasion. The Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ gathering served as an occasion of love, devotion, and spiritual renewal. Its central message emphasized that love for the Prophet ﷺ should be reflected not only in words, but also in homes, character, treatment of others, and the upbringing of the next generation. May Allah SWT accept this blessed gathering, grant guidance, and increase our love for our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Ameen.
