One hundred thousand participants reach Minar-e-Pakistan ahead of Dec 23

People are so keen to listen to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s address that one hundred thousand of them reached Minar-e-Pakistan, the venue of historic grand public reception being given in the honour of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on Sunday. Many hundreds of thousands of participants are on their way from various parts of Pakistan to take part in the programme, which has been billed as the biggest gathering in the country’s history. They will be bearing Pakistani flags in their hands and present a picture of one nation which is untied for change through democratic and peaceful means.

It is for the first time in the history of the country that transport is not available to enable them to get to Minar-e-Pakistan because vehicles were already booked.

The chief highlight of the reception is keynote address of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in which he will present practical solutions of the problems facing the country. The people are impatiently waiting to listen as to what he has to say.

However, the good news is that a few hours are left now and time is not far when they would get to know the national agenda. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has made it clear that the current electoral system is the biggest enemy of the people as it has stopped the real, competent and honest leadership from emerging. He wants reforms in the electoral system before the holding of elections so that real democracy could take root in the country. He has held that current system is responsible for sending the same privilege group of people to positions of power.
