Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (India chapter) organized spiritual gatherings to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (SAW) in a beautiful manner. These programmes were held on January 19 at six different places in Kolkata namely Central Kolkata, Alimuddin Street, Topisa, Howrah (Shipur), Howrah (Pilkhana), Hoogly. These events were attended by women in a large number. The speakers threw light on the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW). They highlighted the fact that terrorism represented violations of the teachings of Islam and anti-thesis of what the Prophet (SAW) ordained. They said that peace and harmony is essential message of Islam, which needs to be reinforced to reject all terrorism and militancy.
