Eagers, a forum of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, has launched a tree plantation campaign under the title of “Green Pakistan” in the country. A large number of children and the office-bearers of the Eagers attended the launching ceremony. The children planted saplings in the name of their parents.
Umme Kalsoom, Directors Eagers, educated the children about the importance of the plantation and stated that a clean and green environment is our fundamental right. She said that trees play a great role in keeping our environment clean and healthy. She asked the children to safeguard trees, which is a precious gift of nature, adding that all of us are duty bound to save this asset from being wasted.
Umme Kalsoom said that climate change is the biggest challenge of our times and the efforts need to be made at all levels to fight this latest scourge. She said that a tree produces oxygen which is sufficient for the breathing of the 30 kids.
She said that Eagers has been arranging the tree plantation drives every year. She said that the purpose of these campaigns is to raise awareness among our children about the need for a safe, healthy and clean environment and to further motivate them to become ambassadors of a clean, green Pakistan.
