No movement can succeed without role of women: Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

In a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 35th foundation-day anniversary of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, MQI patron-in-chief and founding leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that women have always played role of educator and trainer in every age and society. He said that history is a witness to the fact that they have been part and parcel of the movements and societies, playing a decisive role in their rise and downfall. He said that Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa (R.A), the revered mother of the believers, narrated 2200 traditions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and thus promoted the Hadith sciences. She (RA) was a teacher of more than 100 companions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He said that more than 700 female companions conveyed the teachings and sayings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to Muslims.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that women revived and activated Muslim universities and educational institutions in the middle and medieval ages. He said that MQI, being a revivalist movement working for reformation of Muslims, has particularly focused on women’s education in line with the teachings of Islam. He said that women are playing the roles of a preacher, religious scholar, teacher, motivational speaker and welfare worker on the platform of MQI. He said that hundreds of thousands of women are benefiting from the contributions and services of MQI around the world. He said that the establishment of a Mustafavi family is a linchpin in the establishment of a Mustafavi society, which is not possible without the active role of women.

Lauding the services of MWL, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the role and contributions of MWL in terms of educating the women about the teachings of Islam would be chronicled in golden letters. He congratulated all the office-holders and workers of MWL for their commitment, dedication and hard work on the occasion of 35th foundation day of the organization.

Meanwhile Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Brig. (r ) Iqbal Ahmad Khan and other leaders also extended their greetings to MWL and its workers and said that the organization has a distinct identity in the fields of education, research and public welfare.

The 35th foundation day is being celebrated with traditional zeal and zest across the country under the title of “we are the architects.” The central ceremony in this regard will be held at the central secretariat in Model Town in which women leaders belonging to various walks of life have been invited.
