Eagers, a subsidiary department of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, took out a procession to welcome the advent of Rabi-ul-Awwal. Attended by children, the procession started from the central secretariat and culminated at the residence of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The grandchildren of Shaykh ul Islam, Sakeena Hussain, Marwa Hussain, and Hamid Mustafa, led the procession. They were chanting slogans to welcome the holy month. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri showered rose petals on the children and garlanded them as a mark of their love.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that those parents are lucky who encourage their children to learn about Islam. He said that it is important that children attend the ceremonies related to the holy month of Rabi ul Awwal so that they can learn about the blessed life and Seerah of the beloved Prophet (PBUH). He said the life spent in line with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a life well spent. He said MQI is bringing up children by giving them the environment in which they can learn about Islam. He said the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal is the blessed month, adding that we should celebrate Mawlid-un-Nabi (PBUH) the way it should be celebrated. He advised the children to become regular in offering their prayers and respect their parents.

MWL leaders and the members of the executive committee led by president Dr. Farah Naz also joined the rally. They also distributed gifts among the children.
