Funeral Prayer of Al-Haaj Muhammad Ismail Qadri, uncle of Shaykh-ul-Islam

The funeral prayers of Al-Haaj Muhammad Ismail Qadri, uncle of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, were performed on November 17, 2007 in his native city of Jhang. Al-Haaj Muhammad Ismail Qadri breathed his last after protracted illness on November 16. The funeral prayers of the deceased were held in the neighbouring graveyard of Jhang. The son of Shaykh-ul-Islam, Sahibzada Hussain Mohy ud Din Qadri, Amir-e-Tehreek Miskin Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani, Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Naib Nazim-e-Ala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Nazim DFA G. M. Malik, Nazim Finance Javed Iqbal Qadri, Mufti Abdul Qayyum Hazarvi, Allama Muhammad Nawaz Zafar, Nazim Ulama Council Farhat Hussain Shah, Nazim Welfare Muhammad Aqil Malik, Nazim Youth League Sajid Mahmood Bhatti, Muhammad Abbas Naqshbandi, Malik Shamim Ahmad Khan, Sajid Hameed, Iftikhar Chaudhary, Mian Muhammad Sarwar Saddique, Fazal Hussain Awan and other members of Tehreek participated in the funeral prayers.

Central Amir-e-Tehreek Miskin Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani led the funeral prayers of the departed. In addition to the central leaders of MQI, people belonging to all walks of life including different prominent social and political figures also took part in the prayers. Later on, Al-Haaj Ismail Qadri was laid to rest in the local graveyard in the presence of his relatives and people of the area.

Expressing his grief and sorrow at the death of his uncle, Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri prayed to Allah Almighty that may his soul rest in peace. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that late Al-Haaj Ismail Qadri was a pious and practising believer who had devoted his life for the service of religion. After the funeral prayers, the delegation led by Shibzada Hussain Mohy ud Din Qadri went to the house of late Haji, condoled with the family and offered Fatiha.
