The Women Wing of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has announced to hold countrywide demonstrations to protest vindictive actions of the government. It has also vehemently criticized government for not initiating probe into the Model Town tragedy. The protest demonstrations will be held under the banner of PAT Women Wing on November 17 in Islamabad and four provincial capitals in front of the Press Clubs in the first phase.
These views were expressed by PAT Women Wing President Ms. Razia Naveed. She said that Women Wing will hold demonstrations across the country including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujrat and Jhelum etc. to attention of the masses to injustice being meted to PAT.
Ms. Razia Naveed said that despite delaying tactics used by the government to hamper the dispensation of justice, those involved in the heart-rending tragedy will be brought to book and held accountable for their actions. She said that the blood of martyrs will not go in vain. She said that women are at the forefront of struggle for revolution. She further said that they would not hesitate from any sacrifice for the bright future of the nation.
