She remarked that a flawed, degree-centric education system and detachment from religion are fueling lawlessness, irreligion, and materialism in a country founded in the name of Islam—resulting in sacred relationships falling prey to hatred and revenge.
Lubna Mushtaq said that our education system, devoid of moral training, is producing intolerance and frustration among the youth. As a remedy to these social ailments, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has envisioned turning homes into centers of knowledge and character building. Under this vision, Minhaj-ul-Quran is in the process of establishing 25,000 model knowledge centers across the country. These centers will be set up in homes, with family members as their first participants.
She highlighted that Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has been focusing on the moral upbringing of future generations for the past ten years and has been urging parents not to waste the early years of a child’s life in mere pampering. The type of upbringing parents give directly reflects in the behavior of their children as they grow up.
She emphasized that in order to revive moral values, homes must be transformed into centers of Mustafaic (Prophetic) education and training. Lubna Mushtaq added that when the environment of a home is consumed by irreligiousness and materialism, it negatively affects the entire society. Today, we are witnessing increasing violence, the desecration of sacred relationships, and disregard for Islamic values—a truly alarming situation.
To make society a cradle of peace, respect, and harmony, we must begin by correcting the environment within our homes.
