Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League—the heir to the heritage of Sayyida Zainab: Sumaira Rafaqat

Secretary General Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Miss Sumaira Rafaqat Advocate has said that Minhaj-ul-Quran is the legatee to the legacy of Imam Hussain (RA) and Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, the heir to the heritage of Sayyida Zainab (SA). Addressing the Zahra-e- Sani (Sayyida Zainab SA) Conference organized Minhaj-ul-Quran Karachi in National Museum Auditorium Karachi, on 12th December, 2010, she paid tribute to the historic role Sayyida played in making the humanity and the coming generations recognize the ugly face of Yazid and his abettors, and transfer to them the courage and strength to gag their nonsense against the glory of the Prophet and his kindred. A large number of eminent personalities attended the conference presided by Sumaira Rafaqat Kahloon Advocate, Central Secretary General MQI. She was the key speaker on the occasion. Ms Huma Abbas Ali, Begum Councillor General Iran, was the chief guest. The renowned religious scholars like Dr Farida Ahmad, Mohtarma Qamar-un-Nisa, ImtiazJaved, Maryam Rizvi, and Tasneem Muazzam, Nazima Jama’at Islami, Robina Shaheen, Shahida Nu’mani, senior member WL, Perveen Mustafavi, President WL Karachi, Fauzia Shaukat, Nazima WL Karachi and appointment holders of various other local chapters and their workers attended the conference.

The programme went under way with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Na’at. Addressing the conference, Miss Sumaira Rafaqat demonstrated the role Sayyida Zainab played after the Imam and his 72 companions had embraced martyrdom in Karbla. She said the enemies of Islam always launch two-pronged attack against the mainstream majority of Muslim Umma—firstly by perpetrating terrorism, massacre, violence and plunder and secondly by denigrating the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and his kindred—the ahl-e-bait. That is Karbla. Sayyida Zainab witnessed the atrocities and the slaying of ahl-e-bait in Karbla and the brutal denigration of the Prophet’s kindred. But se remained poised and protected the plundered members of the family, chopped with grief, and rose to the occasion valorous and lionhearted, to silence the ugly tongues of Yazid and his co-conspirators. She publicized the identity of Yazidiat and safeguarded the true identity of Islam—Hussainiat. Yazidiat is violence, bloodshed, terrorism and denigration of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and ahl-e-bait. Islam—Hussainiat is the right opposite: peace, love, tolerance, moderation, justice, human dignity and love for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and ahl-e-bait.

Sumaira Rafaqat declared that in modern age Minhaj-ul-Quran is the legatee to the legacy of Imam Hussain and Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, the heir to the heritage of Sayyida Zainab. The Yazids of today have launched the spate of massacre and terrorism unabated against the mainstream peaceful Muslim majority and are engaged in denigrating the Messenger of Allah and ahl-e-bait at international level. The Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, under the most inspiring leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, has stood up to quash the tribulation by rousing the womenfolk against the plague through a widespread countrywide, rather worldwide struggle, to take Shaykh-ul-Islam’s message of peace, harmony, moderation and human rightsand love of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and ahl-e-bait to the masses, and thus defend the true identity of Islam, and show the ugly face of modern Yazids to the world.

The conference was also addressed by Ms Huma Abbas Ali, Begum Councillor General Iran, the renowned religious scholars like Dr Farida Ahmad, Mohtarma Qamar-un-Nisa, Imtiaz Javed, Maryam Rizvi, and Tasneem Muazzam, Nazima Jama’at Islami, Robina Shaheen, Shahida Nu’mani, senior member WL, Perveen Mustafavi, President WL Karachi and Fauzia Shaukat, Nazima WL Karachi. The conference ended with dua.
