PAT condemns propaganda campaign against Pakistan army

Pakistan Awami Tehreek has described ISPR’s response on the misleading and highly irresponsible statement of Jamat-e-Islami Amir Munawar Hassan as timely and appropriate.

In a statement, PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the Pakistan army was not only the protector of the country’s territorial boundaries but has also played its role in safeguarding the ideological frontiers of the country. He said that the Pakistan army strengthened the national defence by rendering huge sacrifices for the protection of the motherland. He said that the sacrifices offered by the officers and soldiers of Pakistan’s armed forces were a matter of pride for the nation and the people of Pakistan held their armed forces in the highest esteem.

PAT Secretary General asked the people of Pakistan to beware of those elements who, by falsely castigating the armed forces, wanted to promote a poisonous ideology to serve their vested interests. He said that nefarious designs of those who opposed the establishment of Pakistan were laid bare for all to see.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that every citizen of the nation was concerned over the relentless campaign launched by some elements aimed at maligning the armed forces of Pakistan. He said that real face of those who dubbed terrorists as ‘martyrs’ and gave precedence to those who shed blood of innocent people, bombed religious places and markets was unmasked. He said that PAT condemned the misleading propaganda campaign against Pakistan army and considered the ISPR’s demand of an explanation from Jamat-e-Islami as the voice of the entire nation.
