Women are foundation of peaceful change: Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Islam is a complete code of conduct and a faith of nature. While other religions and civilizations are based on interest and emotion, Islam is based on sincerity and wisdom. The edifice of Islam is built on the sure foundations of sincerity instead of emotions. The reason of anti-Islam propaganda is either bad intention or lack of knowledge. In order to be aware of the actual teachings of Islam, one should take a recourse to the direct sources of knowledge in Islam.

Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI, expressed these views while delivering his keynote address on the third day of the five-day training and organizational workshop organized under the banner of Minhaj Women League the other day. MWL leaders Ms. Farah Naz, Ms. Afnan Babar, Ayesha Mubashar, Kalsoom Tufail, Zainab Arshad, Dr Shahida Mughal and others were also present on the occasion.

Dr Shahida Mughal welcomed Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Ms. Fizza Hussain Qadri on their arrival at the venue of the workshop. Central MWL President Ms. Farah Naz threw light on the aims and objectives of the five-day moral, spiritual and educational training session. She informed the audience that MWL has been working on the agenda of women rights and empowerment in the light of ideology and thought of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. She also presented a progress report of MWL on the occasion.

Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Islam is a religion of love and peace. He said that the contrary to the core Islamic teachings, effort is being made to spread ideological chaos and anarchy today and terrorism and extremism is being promoted. He said that there are many reasons behind the spread of extremism, adding that one important stage is that of the lap of the mother and the institution of the family. He said that the role of women is quite crucial in the establishment of a peaceful and positive society.

Dr Hussain said that it can be said with certainty that if the government focuses on women’s education and training, builds quality institutions for their empowerment and economic well-being, and provides them equal opportunities for moving forward in society, the aims and objectives that cannot be achieved by spending millions of rupees will be easily achieved through a smart and intelligent strategy.

The President of MQI said that Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has paid special attention to the needs of education and spiritual training of the youth. He has not just focused on the plan but also set up institutions that remain busy in empowering the women through provision of awareness, education and empowerment. He said that Dr Qadri has established hundreds of educational institutions in the form of Minhaj University, Minhaj Women College, Minhaj Education Society that are benefitting thousands of girls and women from across the country. He said that he can say with a sense of conviction that the number of educated women who are associated with MQI is not to be found with any religious and political party. He said that aware, empowered and revolutionary daughters of the nation will lay the foundation of peaceful change in the country and play their main role in ridding the country of exploitation and oppression.
